Römerkeller in Heitersheim

The location is remarkable, also that you are asked at 8.30 p.m. whether nam still wants to eat something and the answer to the question is affirmative: I first have to ask in the kitchen whether they are still doing something. The food was a disaster, I've never eaten so bad as here. Schnitzel (presumably frozen product), a slice of pineapple from the can slapped on it and cheap cheese on top, baked (tastes terrible). The schnitzel (breaded!) Are topped with all kinds of loveless ready-made products and cheese on top. That was it. To top it all off, a trough full of Aldi french fries. Römer Keller ..... never again!

Exceptionally nice ambience, restaurant designed with love, just like the food! Very nice staff including the boss. It's a shame that it's not around the corner from us would like to eat here more often: - ') Greetings from the Palatinate

Well where do I start? The passionate addiction to hospitality, the consumption of the "not" everyday and the magic of giving the taste buds a spring all year round, this is what "the fat little man with the bald head" and his TEAM create with every visit. Delicious? Just tasty? That's what I thought at first. You order the same dish as on the last visit, it was delicious ... But wait, the taste buds were already dancing "Samba", now you suddenly taste the sauce or was it just the dressing in the salad? Wasn't it the buttery tender and perfectly fried piece of meat that was so special? What was it then? The magic! It is the art, I call it magic, to conjure up a dish that, even after repeated orders, makes my palate cheer again with explosions of flavors. One is never like the other and the other is never like the one. This is thanks to the love and passion of this man to appreciate the always fresh products and to give his guests the taste of every visit as if it were the first. His original craft? Ask him! You will be amazed. Visit this "Roman cellar" and see for yourself. However, it is very beneficial to reserve well in advance. Finally, a personal note: "The bill bouncers and other, unpleasant bones, a VERY special place to linger, to part." 😄

The kitchen is open until 9 p.m., which saved us the evening. The portions were really big and delicious. Service was nice and very attentive. Definitely recommendable!

Short trip to Lucerne Mulhouse Colmer with overnight stay in Heitersheim. Dinner with a wife in the Roman cellar. And if you, as a “Swabian”, are enthusiastic about spaetzle (which are not from mom) - big praise. Ambience in the basement was great. Staff very courteous and friendly. Both dishes are absolutely great! Thank you for the lovely evening

Very nice, rustic restaurant in a vaulted cellar. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the landlord himself made sure at every table that everything was to the complete satisfaction of the guests. The food is very good and rich. Excellent value for money. Really very recommendable! However, I would recommend a reservation due to the size.

Hello, I am in the region for 1 week every year and have been going there to eat for 3 years now. The staff is friendly, attentive and not overbearing. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is really great and for the quality also really cheap. Even if you are full because the portions can be really big, you can continue eating because it just makes your mouth water. I was in other restaurants in the area but if anyone would ask me this is the restaurant where you can not miss. For small groups but you should reserve a table already. I'm looking forward to next year food again.

Nice service. Choice varied. Hearty portions. Pleasant dinner in a beautiful setting in the form of a vast cellar listened to in blond stones. The chef comes to greet his guests at the end of the meal. Very affordable price.

The Römerkeller is highly recommended. The ambience in the basement with the source is very appealing. And the food, of course, very delicious and very much. Highly Recommended. The staff are very friendly and there is little wait. I will come back when I'm around.

Very disappointed, we really wanted to like the place. Our schnitzel were burned, we had to scrape off the breading. Staff was very friendly. Portions are way too big for regular people :D

Great food and service

Very good restaurant with German cuisine. Be careful with the quantities which are generous. I recommend the schnitzel and cordon bleu as they often do in Germany. The restaurant offers dishes with local products.
